Privacy Policy for Logos
This Privacy Policy explains how Logos collects, uses, stores, and shares information when students, admins, and authorized organizers use the app.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how the app is used, Logos may collect and store:
- Student information such as name, register number, diocese, section, class, Sunday School code, and mobile number.
- Quiz and exam information such as selected exams, answers, scores, warnings, attempt status, and timestamps.
- Admin sign-in information handled through Firebase Authentication.
- News, event, image, video, and link content uploaded by admins.
- Limited device-stored data needed for app functionality, such as notification read status and temporary offline or in-progress attempt data.
2. How we use information
We use this information to:
- Identify students and match them to the correct exams.
- Deliver quizzes and exams, save progress, calculate results, and show analytics or leaderboards.
- Allow admins to manage students, exams, alerts, and published news posts.
- Store and display uploaded media and shared content.
- Maintain app functionality, security, and troubleshooting.
3. Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. Data may be shared only:
- With service providers used to run the app, including Google Firebase.
- With authorized admins or organizers managing app content and student records.
- When required by law or when needed to protect users, the app, or the app operator.
4. Permissions and device access
The app may request limited device access when needed for a feature:
- Photos or media library access so admins can choose images or videos for posts.
- File export or share-sheet access when an admin chooses to share generated reports.
- Local device storage for temporary app state, notification status, and offline attempt restoration.
5. Storage and security
App data is stored using Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage. Some temporary data is also stored locally on the device. We use reasonable measures to protect data, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
6. Data retention and deletion
We retain data for as long as needed to operate the app, maintain quiz records, support administration, comply with legal obligations, and resolve issues. Temporary locally stored data may remain on the device until it is cleared by the app or the app is uninstalled.

7. Children's privacy
The app may be used by students under the supervision of a school, parish, or other authorized organization. Student data should only be entered or managed by authorized administrators or with appropriate permission where required by applicable law.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
